Hydrogen energy, known as the “ultimate environmental energy”, is vital in the global energy transition. The strategic use of hydrogen energy is pivotal in achieving “carbon peak” and “carbon neutral”. Within the hydrogen energy industry chain, mainly includes hydrogen production, storage, transportation and application, among which storage and transportation are key to ensuring the safe and efficient use , and large-scale commercialization of hydrogen energy. Liquid hydrogen storage and transportation offer several advantages, including higher purity, greater transport capacity, lower long-distance transportation costs, and higher refueling efficiency. These advantages make it ideal for large-scale, long-distance, and efficient hydrogen storage and transportation.

Liquid hydrogen enables to provide ultra-pure hydrogen for industrial enterprises producing semiconductors, electric vacuum materials, electronic components, silicon wafers, optical fibers and more. It also reduces the number of hydrogen supply system switches while guaranteeing a steady hydrogen supply. With the breakthrough of hydrogen liquefaction processes, key equipment technologies, and the rapid development of hydrogen energy terminal applications, the global demand for liquid hydrogen is poised for growth, facilitating the widespread application of hydrogen energy.

CIMC Enric is a leading supplier of clean energy equipment in China and the pioneer in the complete layout of hydrogen energy industry chain. With over a decade of experience in hydrogen energy storage and transportation, CIMC Enric possesses leading technical expertise. The Group undertakes a major special project on liquid hydrogen equipment for the Ministry of Science and Technology. In recent years, the Group has conducted extensive basic research and has successfully compiled the national group standard, “Special Technical Requirements for Mobile Vacuum Insulated Liquid Hydrogen Pressure Vessels”. Furthermore, the Group has intensified its research and development efforts, improved core technologies based on market guidance, and introduced new products such as liquid hydrogen storage tanks and containers, which are now ready for mass production. Liquid hydrogen tank trucks and spherical tanks are currently under development to help establish an efficient and economical hydrogen energy storage and transportation system.

Mr. Xu Yongsheng, Vice President of CIMC Hydrogen, said: “The successful development of the liquid hydrogen tank container once again demonstrates CIMC Enric’s top strength in liquid hydrogen storage and transportation equipment, adding a strong engine for accelerating the establishment of a comprehensive layout of the hydrogen energy industry chain. In the future, as hydrogen energy production and application continue to scale up, the geographical disparity between supply and demand will significantly drive the market demand for hydrogen energy storage and transportation equipment. The 40-foot liquid hydrogen tank container provides an optimal solution for large-scale, long-distance multimodal hydrogen energy transportation. Looking forward, CIMC Enric will comprehensively strengthen its efforts in the new field of hydrogen energy. Leveraging its advantages in equipment manufacturing and industrial resources, the Group will deepen cooperation with upstream and downstream partners in the industry chain. It will promote core technology research and development related to key industry chains, achieve mass production and sales of liquid hydrogen tank containers, actively expand domestic and foreign market opportunities through industry demonstration and strategic leadership, and contribute wisdom and strength to the large-scale application of hydrogen.”
